LDAPv3 is specified in a series of IETF Standard Track RFCs as detailed in [RFC 4510|http://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc4510] The CEDR LDAP schema file defines object classes that our directory server supports; each entry in our directory is defined by an object class. The schema also includes cardinality, syntax, grammar, and a globally unique Object identifier (OID) for the attributes in each object class. The UT Arlington LDAP servers utilize OpenLDAP and the schema is based on best practices developed for higher education, including support for the Internet2 eduPerson specification. The utaPerson object class expands on eduPerson, including attributes specific to UT Arlington. \\
